Have a look at the following sentence:
此时,出租车驾驶员吴金龙正在市政府门前待客,因为挎包丢在了后排座上
吴金龙根本没有察觉。

In this part of the sentence 因为挎包丢在了后排座上, we have 丢在了. I don't
understand why do we have 了 particle placed after 在 and not after 丢, since 丢 is a verb I
believe. As far as I know, the 了 particle either comes at the end of the sentence or just after
the verb, then why in this sentence it is placed after the preposition 在.

Re #22, I would use 丢了在, as I said in my #7.

One can be forgiven for being head-strong , but with structures such as "Verb+在", "Verb+到",
the 了 should be placed at the end, and not split the units in the middle.

Only if one wants to be forgiven.

Thanks for your kind confirmation, skylee!
